Chris Davis, 1B, Baltimore Orioles

FanDuel Price: $2,700

On a slate in which the top options at catcher/first base have less-than-ideal matchups (Paul Goldschmidt has to deal with Jon Gray and Freddie Freeman gets Aaron Nola), it may be tempting to use Chris Davis into a tournament lineup. His floor is certainly low, but his power gives him the kind of upside you look for in tournaments.

But there are some concerning trends.

Davis has always been strikeout prone, but he is taking the inability to put the ball in play to new levels. He struck out a ridiculous 37.2% of the time last year, highest among qualified hitters.

Possibly even more concerning is the fact that pitchers threw 43.0% of their pitches in the strike zone when facing Davis. This is the highest mark of Davis's career since he's been a member of the Baltimore Orioles, and it could be a sign that pitchers no longer fear him.

You can try to convince yourself to play Davis based on the fact that he is facing a right-handed pitcher in Jake Odorizzi. However, Odorizzi actually has reverse splits over his career, striking out 24.8% of lefties he's faced and only 18.9% of righties.

The reverse split extends to contact management. Odorizzi holds left-handed batters to a 31.9% hard-hit rate while right-handed batters tee off on him with a 39.9% hard-hit rate.

Don't even bother with the strikeout-happy Davis on this slate.
