Jose Martinez got the day off for rest on Wednesday, but he has been on an absolute tear recently, with a .431 wOBA, 3 home runs, 10 runs scored, and 13 RBI over 17 games in September.

He has a .378 wOBA and .213 ISO this season as a whole, and he draws a promising matchup tonight against Homer Bailey and the Cincinnati Reds. Bailey's 5.17 SIERA in 2017 is by far a career-worst, and right-handed hitters in particular have lit him up to the tune of a .423 wOBA.

Consistent production and a great matchup makes Martinez an elite value option.
