Ezequiel Carrera, OF, Toronto Blue Jays

FanDuel Price: $2,100

Ezequiel Carrera hit second last night against a righty, and he could get another opportunity against Dylan Bundy. Given his near-minimum price, Carrera looks like a great way to save some dough against Bundy, who has a 38.3% hard-hit rate and 16.8% strikeout rate against lefties this season.

However, Bundy has played much better as of late, and might be a pitcher worth avoiding. He scuffled in a recent start against the New York Yankees, but across five August starts, he produced a 2.86 SIERA, 32.6% strikeout rate, and 4.4% walk rate with pretty even splits against both sides of the plate. While it's a small sample size, those marks match up with what Corey Kluber and Clayton Kershaw have done this season.

Obviously, Bundy isn't that good, but his recent form is enough to question attacking this spot on a slate in which we have six teams exceeding a 5.00 implied team total -- the Toronto Blue Jays only have 4.26. Furthermore, while the price point is obviously appealing in the right spots, Carrera doesn't offer a ton of upside by himself, with just a .133 ISO and 26.4% hard-hit rate in 2017.
