Evan Longoria, 3B, Tampa Bay Rays

Seeing as we have a small slate, we may end up having to consider Evan Longoria if we want to pay down at third base, but it's better off avoided if possible.

Longoria goes up against CC Sabathia tonight, and although Sabathia has a below-average strikeout rate, he still manages to induce a lot of ground balls against righties (49.1% rate), limiting the upside of attacking him. Additionally, Tropicana Field benefits pitchers, leaving the Tampa Bay Rays with just a 3.96 implied team total.

Also, Longoria has curiously put up mediocre numbers against lefties since the start of 2016, posting a mere .295 wOBA. Mike Moustakas has more upside against Reynaldo Lopez at $200 cheaper.
