When the baby-faced Rafael Devers first came up to the majors in July, he got off to a scorching start, slugged 8 bombs in his first 20 games.

Of course, he's inevitably cooled since then, but that cooling period has transformed into a slump. Ever since that last dinger, over his last 62 plate appearances, he's posted just a .201 wOBA off a 28.2% hard-hit rate and 53.8% ground-ball rate. Worse yet, he's striking out 29.0% of the time.

The talented prospect should bounce back at some point, but despite the Red Sox getting a robust 5.54 implied team total, opposing pitcher Joe Biagini induces a ton of ground-balls and has a league-average strikeout rate, which won't help Devers with his recent struggles.
