While hitting near the bottom of the order for the Kansas City Royals dings Brandon Moss's fantasy value, his upside tonight is strong enough to make that worth overlooking.

His production hasn't reflected it often, but Moss is making some excellent contact against right-handed pitching, with a 35.4% hard-hit rate and 47.9% fly-ball rate this season. With only a .215 BABIP (compared to a .277 against righties over his career), the lack of production isn't especially concerning. He has been making particularly great contact recently, ranking 1st in average exit velocity and 3rd in average batted-ball distance among hitters with at least 10 batted balls in the past 15 days.

Tampa Bay Rays righty Austin Pruitt isn't much of at threat to slow Moss down, with a 4.38 SIERA on the year, while allowing a 34.7% hard-hit rate to left-handed bats.
