Although it seems like Marwin Gonzalez has to slow down at some point, he keeps on trucking, and has a 37.9% hard-hit rate over the last 30 days. The Houston Astros have a 5.17 implied team total against southpaw Blake Snell, putting them on the hitter's map as usual.

But despite the strong season, Gonzalez hasn't shown as much prowess against lefties. Sure, you may look at the .241 isolated power (ISO) against them and think otherwise, but it's come off a lackluster 24.6% hard-hit rate. In fact, his expected weighted on-base average (xwOBA) versus southpaws is a rather dismal .268. Even if one worries this is a small single-season sample size, he has just a .313 wOBA in his career.
