We love Chris Archer in DFS, but one must pause when the opponent is the Houston Astros.

Against righties, the Astros may as well be a traveling Coors Field, as the active roster has a minuscule 16.4% strikeout rate and whopping 132 wRC+. Even without Carlos Correa and George Springer, they're hardly missing a beat due to their lineup depth, with call-up Derek Fisher looking like the real deal.

Archer brings with him a 3.46 SIERA and 29.7% strikeout rate, but he remains susceptible to hard contact due with a 38.1% hard-hit rate.

As the third-most expensive pitcher, his price leaves him in no man's land -- trailing behind the superior arms of Scherzer and Sale while lacking the better matchups or discounts of those priced below him. On a smaller slate, his talent might make him worth a shot in tournaments, but tonight you're better off taking a pass.
