Kyle Seager has an uncharacteristically low .312 wOBA on the year, but he has still been making outstanding contact against right-handed pitching, with a 39.8% hard-hit rate, a 8.9% soft-hit rate and a 48.1% fly-ball rate.
He draws a matchup tonight against Oakland Athletics righty Paul Blackburn, who has only made one major league start, but posted an ugly 4.43 xFIP in 15 Triple-A games (14 starts) in 2017. This is a great opportunity for Seager to turn those contact numbers into some production.
