Alex Avila has no business being this cheap tonight.

He ranks top 10 in average exit velocity among hitters with at least 10 batted balls in the past 15 days, and he has been absolutely crushing right-handed pitching all season to the tune of a .457 wOBA with a ridiculous 62.1% hard-hit rate, 3.2% soft-hit rate and 43.2% fly-ball rate.

Kansas City Royals righty Ian Kennedy has an ugly 5.09 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA) through 13 games in 2017, and with a 5.88 xFIP against left-handed bats, he's not much of a threat to slow Avila down.
