Welington Castillo has once again been quietly making some of the league's best contact against southpaws this season, with a 51.7% hard-hit rate and 6.9% soft rate. The 40 plate appearance sample isn't huge, but those numbers don't look to a kind of a fluke, as he posted a 53.5% hard-hit and 9.3% soft-hit rate in 2016.

Contact numbers like that give him a ton of upside tonight against Chicago White Sox lefty Derek Holland, who has a shaky 4.88 SIERA through 12 starts in 2017 (after posting a 5.10 in 2016), and who has allowed a huge .381 wOBA on a 44.4% hard-hit rate to right-handed bats this year.
