The production has not been there for Manny Machado this season (.309 wOBA), but there's no denying that he has been hitting the ball really well.

His 40.1% hard-hit rate through 251 plate appearances is on pace to be a career high, and he ranks top 10 in average exit velocity among hitters with at least 10 batted balls in the past 15 days.

He brings those contact numbers into a great matchup against Chicago White Sox southpaw Derek Holland, who has opened 2017 with a 4.87 SIERA while allowing a huge .381 wOBA on a 44.4% hard-hit rate to right-handed bats.
