If Sale's tough matchup does scare you, there are still a handful of other viable top-end pitching options, headlined by Robbie Ray.

Ray hasn't looked quite as good this year as he did in 2016, allowing more hard contact and having seen a bit of a jump in both his SIERA and walk rate. But what is especially interesting from a fantasy standpoint is that his strikeout numbers have actually improved, with his strikeout rate increasing from 28.1% to 29.8% and his swinging-strike rate from 11.6% to 12.8% -- both representing new career highs.

Ray finds himself in a plus matchup tonight, taking on a Pittsburgh Pirates team that strikes out at a slightly above-average rate (21.6%) against southpaws while also ranking only 22nd with an 87 wRC+.
