Kennys Vargas, 1B, Minnesota Twins

FanDuel Price: $3,000

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Joey Votto will continue to keep his hot streak up against Josh Tomlin in the Battle of Ohio. Over 40 2/3 innings pitched, Tomlin has logged a 6.86 ERA, and in his last start, he only recorded 7 outs while allowing 6 earned runs.

In and out of the lineup, Kennys Vargas is an option that will more than likely see lower ownership. As part of a platoon at first base, Vargas' lack of consistent playing time should allow him to fly under the radar a bit.

Why You Should Use Him:

Even though Vargas is a switch hitter, he doesn't play a ton as a right-handed bat. Thankfully, he does see the majority of the starts against righties, and he will get a juicy matchup against Ubaldo Jimenez of the Baltimore Orioles, who owns a 5.37 SIERA with a 13.1% walk rate this year.

A 34.4% hard-hit rate has certainly contributed to the 10 homers the right-hander has allowed in just 38 2/3 innings of work.

And when Vargas is in the lineup, he mashes -- over his last 10 starts, he's posted 9.0-plus FanDuel points five different times, including three 20.0-plus point efforts. Facing Jimenez at Camden Yards also helps him on Monday.
