After a few rough days for expensive pitchers, we have two elite arms in play on Friday.

Jacob deGrom's 2017 season has been outstanding, especially compared to his somewhat shaky 2016 campaign. His SIERA is down to 3.17, while his strikeout rate is up to a career-high 32.4%, bolstered by a huge 15.3% swinging-strike rate. His velocity is way up across the board, and that has made him deadly.

The Los Angeles Angels have been striking out at a below-average rate against righties this year, but they also rank only 20th with a 93 wRC+. With deGrom's nasty strikeout stuff, he has plenty of upside here.
