Chris Davis, 1B, Baltimore Orioles

FanDuel Price: $2,900

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Prior to his goose egg Monday evening, Ryan Zimmerman may be the hottest hitter in all of baseball. With 13 jacks to his name already this season to go along with a .420 batting average, Zimmerman has posted double-digit FanDuel points a staggering 12 straight times. He's in a great spot against the ever unpredictable Ubaldo Jimenez.

One play who will likely go overlooked is the struggling Chris Davis as he's got a tough battle against Washington Nationals ace Max Scherzer. Davis has only logged one hit in his last nine at-bats, and Scherzer is Scherzer.

Why You Should Use Him:

Boom or bust pretty aptly describes Davis, and when he's hitting, he's putting up big point totals. While Scherzer is a tough matchup, there are a few reasons to target Davis on this slate.

Scherzer has struggled with the gopher ball in his career, and he's currently allowing 1.11 home runs per nine innings (HR/9) pitched. In particular, Scherzer struggles (by his standards) with lefties -- they've knocked him for a .302 wOBA, and that HR/9 mark bumps up to 1.22/9 against lefties.

Camden Yards will certainly help Davis's cause, too. Over the last three years, it ranks sixth in the league in home run factor.

Putting all those pieces together, Davis makes for a sneaky contrarian play who offers long-ball upside at a cheap price.
