Seth Smith has been hitting leadoff against right-handed pitchers for the Baltimore Orioles this season, putting him in a very favorable spot against righty Bronson Arroyo at the hitter-friendly Great American Ballpark, where the Orioles sport the second-highest implied total (5.00) on the slate.

Arroyo's season has started about as well as you would expect form a 40-year-old who owns a career 4.39 SIERA and hadn't played since the 2014 season -- with a 5.42 SIERA and only a 10.9% strikeout rate through two starts.

Smith's numbers against right-handed pitching were solid last season -- he posted a .340 wOBA on a 34.2% hard-hit rate and has been rolling against righties to start this season, with a 35.0% hard-hit and no soft-hit balls thus far. That offers great value in one of the best matchups you could ask for if he is indeed at the top of Baltimore's lineup.
