Derek Dietrich has been solid, if unexciting, from the dish this season with a .335 wOBA through 371 plate appearances. That follows his solid .346 wOBA through 289 plate appearances last year. His numbers against righties have been especially good this year as he owns .285/.383/.418 with a .351 wOBA.

He brings a career 32.6% hard-hit rate against righties into tonight's matchup with Jeremy Hellickson. Hellickson has a 3.88 ERA and 4.10 SIERA on the year, and he hasn't posted a SIERA lower than 4.00 since his rookie year in 2010.

Hellickson has been lit up by left-handed hitters this year for a .341 wOBA and 5.06 xFIP, making this is a great spot for Dietrich.
