Sure, Chase Utley is 37-years-old and only sporting a .310 wOBA on the season. But he is also sporting a huge 37.2% hard-hit rate (his best since 2010), while he has been more serviceable against right-handed pitching, slashing .264/.346/.391 with a .324 wOBA.

He gains a lot of value from likely hitting leadoff tonight, which will get him plenty of plate appearances against Vince Velasquez, who has a .324 wOBA and 4.14 xFIP against left-handed hitters over his two years in the majors. The matchup is also at Citizens Bank Park, which ranks first in home run factor.
