Rishard Matthews, WR, Tennessee Titans

ADP: 12.10 (WR55)

A lot of times, fantasy owners -- myself included -- burn late-round picks on low-floor, high-upside choices. While there's nothing wrong with that, there's also nothing wrong with mixing in safer options -- even if their upside isn't as tantalizing -- alongside those sexy high-ceiling picks.

Taking Rishard Matthews isn't going to elicit any wows in the draft chat, but he's a solid choice and a smashing value.

We know Matthews can be a solid fantasy producer in Tennessee because he's done just that in his two years in Nashville. In fact, he's shown the ability to be much more, finishing as the overall WR14 in 2016. He followed that up with a WR36 finish last season.

So why is Matthews coming off the board, on average, as WR55? I'm not real sure.

It's probably some combination of people being down on Marcus Mariota after his subpar 2017 season and the expected emergence of second-year receiver Corey Davis.

Well, Mariota is due for some positive regression with his touchdown rate, and while Davis will likely improve on his rookie-year numbers, the loss of Eric Decker's 83 targets should ensure that Matthews can continue to offer a nice floor.

Our models have Matthews projected as WR40. Not only is he the Titans' top wideout, per our numbers, he's one of the best values -- maybe the best value -- in fantasy football right now.
