2018 represents a major step forward for Kyle Gibson of the Minnesota Twins, as he's posted a solid 3.74 ERA over 171 innings pitched, including a 22.0% strikeout rate to go along with a 4.24 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA). But over his recent starts, things haven't gone as well for the Twins righty.

Dating back to July 31st, spanning seven starts, Gibson has been battered for a 4.71 ERA, and the primary culprit has been the long ball. He has allowed seven homers in that time frame, which doesn't look to be a fluke when you factor in his 39.4% hard-hit rate in that time.

Tonight, facing a New York Yankees squad that knows a thing or two about hitting homers, Gibson could make for a rough play.
