Hyun-Jin Ryu, SP, Los Angeles Dodgers

Much like Kenta Maeda yesterday, Hyun-jin Ryu is hard to trust in DFS because he rarely gets deep into games. Maeda may have ended up going seven innings last night, but he only threw 92 pitches, showing what a fine line you walk with most of these Los Angeles Dodgers pitchers. In 12 starts, Ryu has thrown at least 100 pitches only three times, and surpassed six innings once.

Furthermore, Ryu gets the Los Angeles Angels, whose active roster has only struck out 18.8% of the time against southpaws. His 21.0% strikeout rate is only slightly above league average, giving him limited punchout upside.

Despite a tempting low price on a slate with few sure things at pitcher, Ryu is a poor bet to keep up with the highest scoring arms tonight.
