Zach Parise records hat trick in Minnesota win
Minnesota Wild winger Zach Parise had an opening night hat trick in a 5-4 come from behind victory over the Colorado Avalanche Thursday night.
What It Means:
The Wild scored four goals in a five-minute span in the third period, led by Parise's hat trick with just under 10 minutes to play in the third. The other goal scorers for the Wild were Nino Niederreiter and Thomas Vanek.
Parise netted 33 goals and 62 points last season. He has at least 56 points in three of the past four seasons, only failing to reach the mark in an injury-shortened 2013 campaign.
