Penguins rule out Evgeni Malkin (lower-body injury) until after break
Pittsburgh Penguins center Evgeni Malkin won't play Thursday because of a lower-body injury.
What It Means:
Head coach Mike Sullivan also ruled out Malkin for the All-Star Game, so he'll get some extended rest and hopefully be ready for the season's second half after the break.
Malkin has tallied 22 goals and 32 assists in 47 games this season while recording a 52.7 Corsi For Percentage and 2.6 Relative Corsi For Percentage at Even Strength.
