Cam Ward will be between the pipes for Carolina
The Carolina Hurricanes will start Cam Ward in goal versus the Washington Capitals on Monday.
Ward has been abysmal in his last three games, losing twice while allowing 15 goals on 92 shots for a .837 save percentage and a deplorable 6.04 goals-against average. Things don't get any easier on Monday against the NHL's best home team in the Capitals. They own an 18-5-1 home record with 3.21 goals scored per game.
Ward is numberFire's second-worst goalie option on Monday with a projection of 2.7 goals allowed, 25.1 saves made and only a 35.0 percent chance of bringing home the win.
