Islanders asking Jaroslav Halak to stifle Washington's attack
New York Islanders goalie Jaroslav Halak has been named Tuesday's starter against the Washington Capitals.
Halak was tagged for six goals on 38 shots in a loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday, so he would like to bounce back tonight against a Capitals team that he shutout with 38 saves just a couple weeks ago (December 1). The 31-year-old netminder is 5-7-5 on the year, with a .908 save percentage and 3.07 goals-against average.
numberFire's metrics give Halak only a 38.0 percent chance of picking up the win Tuesday, and project him to allow 2.6 goals on 28.4 attempts, so he's not a recommended DFS play for tonight's ten-game slate.
