Tyler Johnson scores overtime winner as Lightning take 3-2 series lead
Tampa Bay Lightning center Tyler Johnson scored a goal and an assist in Sunday's 4-3 OT win over the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Final.
What It Means:
Johnson picked up the primary assist on Nikita Kucherov's game-tying goal with less than four minutes remaining in regulation before adding the game-winner in overtime. Jason Garrison took the initial shot in the extra frame that went off Johnson and in the net. The 25-year-old has seven goals and 17 points in 15 games this postseason. The series now shifts back to Tampa with the Bolts just one win away from going back to the Stanley Cup Final.
The 25-year-old tallied 14 goals and 25 assists this year in what was the worst regular season of his three-year career. He posted a 52.2 Corsi For Percentage and a career-worst -0.9 Relative Corsi For Percentage at Even Strength.
