Tyler Johnson scores game-winning goal as Lightning even series

Tampa Bay Lightning center Tyler Johnson scored the game-winning goal in Friday's 4-3 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

What It Means:

Johnson's night didn't get off to a good start as he needed stitches after taking a puck to the face during the pregame warmups, but it got better from there. Johnson gave the Bolts a 4-0 lead with his goal at the 17:48 mark of the second period. At that point, it seemed like the Lightning were going to run away with the game, but Pittsburgh scored three unanswered goals in the final frame to make the game interesting. The series is now tied 2-2 with Game 5 going Sunday night in Pittsburgh. Ryan Callahan, Andrej Sustr and Jonathan Drouin also scored for the Tampa Bay.

Johnson has six goals and 15 points in 14 games this postseason. The 25-year-old tallied 14 goals and 25 assists this year in what was the worst regular season of his three-year career. He posted a 52.2 Corsi For Percentage and a career-worst -0.9 Relative Corsi For Percentage at Even Strength.
