J.T. Brown

J.T. Brown shaping up as a game-time call for Lightning

Tampa Bay Lightning forward J.T. Brown (upper body) skated again on Thursday and could be back as soon as Friday's game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

What It Means:

Tampa Bay coach Jon Cooper didn't say if Brown would play in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final, but Michael Blunden and Jonathan Marchessault skated as extras after Thursday's practice. They are possibilities to play if Brown isn't available. He hasn't played since April 15 because of an upper-body injury.

Brown tallied 22 points (eight goals, 14 assists) in 78 games played this season, and his ability to drive possession depends on which stat you examine. His Corsi For Percentage was solid at 51.7, but his Relative Corsi For Percentage at Even Strength was a poor -1.8.
