Thomas Greiss

Thomas Greiss beaten four times in Islanders' season-ending loss

New York Islanders netminder Thomas Greiss allowed four goals on 25 shots in Sunday's 4-0 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 5.

What It Means:

The loss means the Islanders' season is now officially over. The series may have ended in five games, but New York could have easily made it more interesting if it didn't blow multiple third-period leads.

Greiss finishes the postseason with a 5-6 record, 2.46 goals against average and .923 save percentage. All in all, it was a good showing, considering he served as the Islanders' backup goalie during the regular season.
