James Neal gets two points as Predators extend series

Nashville Predators forward James Neal, who hadn't produced a point in four games, notched a goal and an assist to help the Nashville Predators defeat the Anaheim Ducks 3-1 Monday night and extend their first-round playoff series to seven games.

What It Means:

Neal gave the Preds a 2-0 lead at 17:45 of the second period. He also assisted on Shea Weber's goal into Anaheim's empty net at 19:50 of the third period, tying the series at 3-3. Nashville took a 1-0 lead at 8:10 of the second period on a goal by Mattias Ekholm. Neal, Weber and Ekholm all now have two goals in this series, which will be decided in Game 7 Wednesday night. It will be the first Game 7 in the Predators' history.

Neal totaled 31 goals and 27 assists this year, but his possession numbers were down. His 54.4 Corsi For Percentage was his worst mark since the 2010-'11 campaign while his 1.8 Relative Corsi For Percentage at Even Strength is well below his career average of 3.5.
