Andrew Hammond will start Thursday night for Senators
Ottawa Senators goalie Andrew Hammond draws a tough home matchup with the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday.
Hammond stopped all 17 shots he faced after replacing the injured Craig Anderson in the Senators' shootout loss to the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday. Hammond went on a crazy run at this time last season, but that seems unlikely this year. The 28-year-old has gone 3-6-3 with a 2.98 goals against average and .903 save percentage this season. He draws a rough matchup tonight with the Lightning in town. Tampa Bay has won seven straight games.
Our daily projections have Hammond allowing 2.75 goals on 27.50 shots with a 39 percent chance of getting the win. He's our next-to-last option out of 24 possible goalies for Thursday night.
