Johnny Boychuk

Johnny Boychuk (upper body) will miss four to six weeks for Islanders

New York Islanders defenseman Johnny Boychuk (upper body) will be out of action for four-to-six weeks.

What It Means:

It's believed Boychuk has a shoulder injury, but he won't require surgery.

Boychuk has three goals and 14 points in 38 games this season. We had him projected for five goals and 14 helpers over the final 43 games, but this news obviously affects those numbers. Both his Relative Corsi For Percentage at Even Strength (-4.7) and his Corsi For Percentage (48.6) are his worst clips in any season with at least 10 games played.
