Shayne Gostisbehere nets overtime winner for Philadelphia
Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere netted the overtime winner in Philadelphia's 4-3 victory against the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday night.
That was Gostisbehere's third overtime goal of his rookie season. In terms of games played (15), he's the fastest player to ever record three overtime markers. "Three-on-three is built for him," teammate Jakub Voracek said of Gostisbehere. "He’s a great skater, has a great shot. He’s smart, as well, and knows when to jump in and what to do with the puck when he has it. He’s a helluva player."
The first-year player has five goals and four helpers in 31 games. We project him to record 16 points -- seven goals, nine assists -- over the final 42 games.
