Pascal Dupuis

Penguins' Pascal Dupuis' hockey career is over

Pittsburgh Penguins winger Pascal Dupuis will not play hockey anymore because of a medical condition related to blood clots.

What It Means:

This is awful news for a player who has been fighting to stay on the ice. Dr. Dharmesh Vyas, who acts as the team physician for the Penguns, said, "Despite playing on a medical protocol that has worked for other players in the NHL, we feel that the risk of Pascal playing with his condition and the side effects of the tests to monitor him are just not in the best interest of his long-term health."

Hopefully this means Dupuis will be able to get healthy for good, despite no longer playing hockey. Best wishes for his health and his future endeavors.
