Devils' Travis Zajac sustains an upper-body injury
New Jersey Devils center Travis Zajac suffered an upper-body injury in the first period of the Devils' 5-1 victory on Thursday.
Zajac was hurt when he fell awkwardly into the boards. Devils' coach John Hynes didn't have an update after the game, but New Jersey is expected to know more on Friday.
Zajac has six goals and 15 points in 24 games this season. We had him projected for eight more goals and 16 more assists over the final 56 games, but those numbers will have to be adjusted if the injury proves serious.
