Jets put Elijah McGuire (foot) on injured reserve
The New York Jets placed running back Elijah McGuire (foot) on injured reserve.
McGuire broke a bone in his right foot before training camp and required surgery. He will now be forced to sit out at least eight games before being eligible to return. Isaiah Crowell and Bilal Powell will hold down the fort in the Jets' backfield until McGuire is available to play. He was expected to be the primary pass-catching back this season before he broke his foot.
Our models project McGuire for just 184.0 total yards and 0.7 touchdowns this season.
