Olivier Vernon (ankle) 'day-to-day' for Giants
New York Giants edge player Olivier Vernon (ankle) is "day-to-day," head coach Pat Shurmur said.
What It Means:
Vernon is reportedly dealing with a "deep bruise high up on his ankle" that was suffered during Sunday's practice. For now, consider him questionable for Week 1.
If he plays all 16 games, numberFire's models project Vernon for 47.0 tackles, 9.3 sacks, and 2.1 forced fumbles this season.
