Lions' Ameer Abdullah has improved ball security
Detroit Lions running back Ameer Abdullah has improved his ball security this offseason, head coach Matt Patricia said.
"It’s been really good in training camp," said Patricia. Abdullah earned the start Friday, totaling five yards on three touches as well as a muffed punt and a botched handoff. Abdullah should maintain his roster spot, but it's tough sledding to earn fantasy value with Kerryon Johnson, LeGarrette Blount, and Theo Riddick ahead of him on the depth chart.
Our models project Abdullah as the 72nd-best running back for fantasy football this year, 217 rushing yards and 1.6 touchdowns on 57 carries, adding 13 receptions for 98 yards and 0.2 touchdowns.
