Niners' Matt Breida (shoulder) expected to be ready for Week 1
San Francisco 49ers running back Matt Breida (shoulder) avoided structural damage but is expected to miss the rest of the preseason.
Breida injured his shoulder in the preseason opener on Thursday but got good news when an MRI came back clean. He will sit out of contact drills for two weeks but is expected to be ready to play in Week 1. Breida is scheduled to backup Jerick McKinnon while playing a change of pace role. Joe Williams will see extra reps this preseason due to Breida's injury.
Our models project Breida for 320.0 rushing yards, 241.0 receiving yards, and 3.0 total touchdowns on 100.6 touches this season.
