LeGarrette Blount expected to maintain goal-line duties for Detroit
Detroit Lions running back LeGarrette Blount is expected to begin the year as the Lions' goal-line back, according to Dave Birkett of The Detroit Free Press.
Blount struggled in the same role for the New England Patriots last season but has a history with new Lions head coach Matt Patricia, formerly of the Patriots. Blount won't have much room to fail this season as the second-round rookie running back Kerryon Johnson is looming.
Our models project Blount for 133.8 carries, 531.6 yards, and 3.5 touchdowns in 2018.
