Sam Beal selected by Giants in third round of Supplemental Draft
The New York Giants selected Western Michigan cornerback Sam Beal in the third round of Wednesday's supplemental draft.
What It Means:
Beal entered the supplemental draft after being ruled academically ineligible at Western Michigan. His selection made him the first player selected in the supplemental draft since Isaiah Battle in 2015, and means the Giants will forfeit a third round pick in next year's NFL draft.
As a Junior in 2017, Beal intercepted 2 passes and led his team with 10 pass breakups.
