Steelers and Le'Veon Bell making progress on contact negotiations
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell says that he and the team are closer in contact negotiations than they were last off-season.
Bell is not reporting to OTA's and is expected to hold out of training camp -- just like he did last summer. He is looking for an extension that would lock him in as the league's highest-paid running back by a big margin, requesting a reported $17.5 million, while the next-highest is Atlanta's Devonta Freeman at only $8.25 million. If the sides are closer to a deal this year, we could see Bell report to training camp at some point.
Our early projections have Bell as the top fantasy back in 2018. We project him for 2,061.8 yards from scrimmage, 81.5 receptions, and 12.9 TDs.
