Corey Grant reportedly re-signs with Jaguars for a year
The Jacksonville Jaguars re-signed running back Corey Grant to a 1-year, $2.914 million contract, reports Josina Anderson of ESPN.
Grant will be in Jacksonville at least one more year after signing a second-round tender. The 26-year-old back is averaging 6.1 yards on 68 career carries, including a career-high 8.3 yards per attempt last season. With Chris Ivory now playing for the Buffalo Bills, Grant will likely compete with T.J. Yeldon for primary backup duties behind Leonard Fournette.
Grant rushed 30 times for 248 yards and 2 touchdowns in 2018 while also catching 3 passes (4 targets) for 31 yards.
