Steelers' Le'Veon Bell will play in 2018
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell said that he will play under the franchise tag or a long-term contract this season.
The Steelers used the franchise tag on Bell this Tuesday. He's set to make $14.544 million this season, but he and the Steelers have until July 16th to work out a long-term deal. Bell's been wanting a long-term contract and has threatened to sit out if tagged. However, in an Instagram chat on Wednesday, he said he would not miss any games. He added that he won't do anything 'extra', which means he'll sit out camp for a second straight season.
In his first 5 seasons, Bell has averaged 128.9 scrimmage yards per game -- a modern-day NFL record.
