Eagles' Darren Sproles 'leaning towards returning' next season
Philadelphia Eagles running back Darren Sproles is "leaning towards returning" for the 2018 season, reports NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Sproles, whose 2017 campaign came to an abrupt end in Week 3 due to a torn ACL, says he "wants to go out on his own terms." The veteran back turns 35 this summer and next season would be his 14th in the NFL. It might not be with the Eagles, but if Sproles opts to return, someone will likely give the versatile back a chance to play.
Sproles averaged 5.0 FanDuel in three games this season, with 15 carries for 61 rushing yards and 7 catches (12 targets) for 73 receiving yards.
