Broncos want Paxton Lynch to use his legs

Denver Broncos head coach Vance Joseph wants quarterback Paxton Lynch to use his legs.

What It Means:

“Running the football is always a must for a young quarterback and giving him a chance to have some easy completions,’’ Joseph said. “I’m looking forward to watching him play because he can run around. His skill set is perfect when you’re young. If it breaks down, he can run with the football. I told him, I said, ‘Just play. Don’t try to be a pocket passer. We call a play and it’s not there, take off and run.’" Lynch rushed for 40 yards in one of his two starts as a rookie, and that sort of ability on the ground could potentially put him on the streaming radar down the stretch.

numberFire's models project Lynch to complete 21.7-of-34.2 passes for 253.3 yards, with 1.41 touchdowns and 0.7 interceptions in his season debut in Week 12 against the Oakland Raiders, with another 12.2 yards and 0.07 touchdowns on the ground. He's the QB17 in our weekly fantasy rankings.
