Washington's Rob Kelley (ankle, knee) placed on injured reserve
Washington running back Rob Kelley (ankle, knee) has been placed on injured reserve, ending his 2017 campaign.
Kelley suffered a high ankle sprain and sprained MCL in Week 10, and coach Jay Gruden indicated earlier in the week that placing him on injured reserve was a possibility. With Kelley out for the season, Chris Thompson and Samaje Perine will share the backfield touches moving forward.
In seven games this season, Kelley had 62 rushes for 194 yards and 3 touchdowns, along with 4 catches for 18 yards.
