Patriots' Martellus Bennett reportedly has torn rotator cuff, may play through it
New England Patriots tight end Martellus Bennett has a torn rotator cuff but may try to play through it, reports NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Per Rapoport, the Green Bay Packers released Bennett because he failed to disclose the injury. He's made a habit of playing through injury during his career, so don't be surprised if Bennett is active in Week 10 against the Denver Broncos.
Bennett turned 38 targets into 24 receptions and 233 scoreless yards in seven games with the Green Bay Packers this year. His 0.37 Reception Net Expected Points per target rank 25th among the 26 tight ends with at least 30 targets on the season.
