Paxton Lynch (shoulder) believes he's ready to play for Broncos

Denver Broncos quarterback Paxton Lynch (shoulder) thinks he could play "right now if I was needed."

What It Means:

“Close. I feel like right now if I was needed to play, obviously I’m going to help the team however I can,” Lynch explained before acknowledging that the training staff wants to "ease" him into things. Head coach Vance Joseph claims the sophomore isn't mentally or physically ready to play, but it seems more likely than not that he'll take over as the Broncos' starter at some point this season. Brock Osweiler will remain under center in Week 10 against the New England Patriots.

In three games (two starts) as a rookie last year, Lynch completed 49-of-83 passes for 497 yards with 2 touchdowns and 1 interception.
